2014 Chevrolet Impala Review

The 2014 Chevrolet Impala is now a completely modern car, with a huge, well-built cabin, a relaxed drive and a variety of new technical features. It should get concern if you're purchasing for a full-size automobile.

Although the Chevrolet Impala is well known because of its famous name and significant existence in rental fleets, the previous-generation car wasn't exactly a hit with daily customers. It was an anonymously designed automobile with little to provide beyond its spacious interior, and we took issue with its cut-rate cabin materials and soggy handling. The completely remodeled 2014 Chevrolet Impala is a greatly better car, however, and worth concern if you're purchasing for a large sedan.

Initially, all new Impalas will come with a V6 motor, and that 305-horsepower six-cylinder provides aggressive speeding and fuel economy for this class. Later on, Chevrolet will also provide two four-cylinder engines on the Impala: a 2.5-liter four-cylinder and a 2.4-liter eAssist light multiple choice. The Chevrolet Impala eAssist, which uses a small motor unit in some conditions to save energy, is predicted to achieve 35 mpg on the road. But we also anticipate it to be rather slow; this same engine pulls the in the same way scaled Buick LaCrosse from zero to 60 mph in 9.2 a seconds.

Standard functions on the entry-level LS (which is four-cylinder only) include 18-inch metal tires, automated headlights, keyless access, cruise control, air-conditioning, an eight-way power-adjustable driver seat, complete energy components, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a journey computer, OnStar urgent communications, Wireless and a six-speaker audio system with a CD player, satellite tv and HD stereo, USB/iPod connection, an auxiliary input and a 4.2-inch color display. A comfort package with rear parking sensors, collapsable rear headrests and a cargo net t is the only choice on the LS.

Safety
The 2014 Chevrolet Impala's list of standard protection measures contains antilock braking system, grip and stability control, front part chair side-impact airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and front knee airbags. Also standar is GM's OnStar service, such as automated accident notice, an urgent support key, distant door open up and stolen vehicle assistance.

Driving Impressions

The Impala also provides the relaxed drive you anticipate from a full-size sedan, and still feels planted to the street on all but the most noticeable areas of road rash. We would recommend skipping the optionally available 20-inch tires if you want the best quality of drive, however, as they add a bit of drive rudeness on difficult sidewalk. In terms of handling, though, the 2014 Impala is capable around changes, and its guiding is remarkably accurate. Overall, it's a major update over past Impalas and a car that we'd be happy to take on a journey.
