The 2014 BMW X5 release date and price

The 2014 BMW X5 is planned to have its premiere in the middle of Sept in Canada, after what it will soon be available available on the market.

This third-generation German will come with a improved exterior look and with modified interior devices.

The 2014 BMW X5 will a little bit modify its dimensions: it will have the height of 176.2 cm, the length of 488.6 cm and the width of 193.8 cm. Even though its roofline will be cut by 4 mm, it wheelbase will stay the same. Furthermore, the cargo capacity of this eye-catching SUV will be 650l, and if the back seats are collapsed – 1870 liters.  As for the exterior design, it will be provided with a bigger and more prolonged grill and either xenon or LED front side lighting at the top side. At the back, its taillights will be just like those discovered in its small cousin- BMW X1.

Other standard equipment will consist of 19-inch metal tires and fog lighting. Nevertheless, the interior of the 2014 BMW X5 will be provided in three different trims: xLine, High-class Range, and M Sport. The The standard equipment for the platform design will be the routing program with plenty of functions and the platform audio. However, higher trims will be available with either Harman/Kardon or Bang & Olufsen audio system. Also, there will be a lot of protection measures, like active cruise control, ahead accident caution, a 360-degree encompass perspective digicam program, etc.

Under the hood, the 2014 BMW X5 will be powered by two different engines: a 3.0 litre six-cylinder turbo-diesel with 300 horse power and 300 pound-feet of twisting, and a 4.4 litre turbo V8 that will be able to generate 445 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. The first one is predicted to go from 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds, whereas the second one will hopefully go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. Both google will be combined to 8-speed automated transmission.  Moreover, beside the regular all-wheel generate, there will be available rear-wheel generate as well.

The cost for the 2014 BMW X5 will go from $53,725 for the base design. Its prospective competitors available on the market will be Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes M Class and Land Rover LR4.
